Does permanent marker come out of clothing?

Specific Question

What solutions get permanent marker out of clothing?

Variables

Independent Variable: Soultions
Dependent Variable: Amount of time it stays in the container.


Variables That Need To Be Controlled: Cloth Type, Sharpie

Hypothesis

I think that only some of the solutions will get the sharpie stains out.

Experimental Design

I will conduct my Experiment at my house; I will only be me doing my experiment. I will be doing my entire project by myself. I will be doing three trials. I will be recording my data on a spread sheet. Threw my experiment I will be testing out how to get sharpie out of cotton cloth. I will be using household projects, to see what products get out sharpie the easiest. I will take pictures through my experiment and put them on the computer.

Aftershave removes most kinds of sharpie; the sharpie has an alcohol base. The sharpie marker is one of the most difficult stains to remove.When sharpie stains close, the color spreads each wash. Sharpie usually doesn’t come out of clothing. There are no warning labels on Sharpie markers. However, that does not make them safe. To some, their smell is noxious, even after drying for several minutes.Sharpie stains, seem almost impossible to remove sometimes, It seems like this because the chemicals in the sharpie. Even though some things that you might not expect would work do.
